My name is Renate Barrett, born in Leiden in 1964, I live in Katwijk The Netherlands, I'm married, have 2 daugthers and 1 grandson.

The fascination for postmortem care originated around the age of 16 and has always remained present. First latent, but later it took on more and more concrete forms. The breakthrough to start training and to work in the care of the deceased came when I was allowed to care for my best friend after her death. I felt that the provision of this kind of care was my true calling. I felt that every deceased person deserved the care that is carried out with love, respect and professionalism. I received my education at the Docendo academy in Geldermalsen and included the following modules for which I am a graduate;

-Full care of the deceased and reconstructions

-Lay out deceased

-Make-up and camouflage

-Airbrush make-up

-Postmortal hair care
